Read as much as you can about how to read music (if you don't know already).
Playing another instrument might help you to compose songs, understand songs structure.

Usually, people try to learn piano theory to understand more their own guitar work, but the other way around is also possible ;)

Read music.
And learn your scales. It's all about scales. Don't forget to use your pinky!

Also, I recommend downloading Synthesia, it's a great program to learn keyboard.

Good midnight!

The best way for you is to try to understand the scales and piano theory!
See it as a gameplay! Start from scale C which is clean white keys only, and go further one to next step which is G by following the (idk what you say in english>) quintcircle, which are following:
C - clean white key
G - 1 #
D - 2 #
A - 3 #
E - 4#
H (B) - 5#
F - 1b

After that advance yourself to the NIGHTMARE difficult (hehe) by doing B-keys!

B(b) - 2b
Eb - 3b
Ab - 4b

etc etc than end up doing some Minor scales!

If you are guitarist than I'd recommend you to try using chords in each scale... Take a basic song like Let It Be by Beatles (the easy version of it) and play it from C major.
Advance yourself by playing same song but in G major, and continue until you have started to know how everything works!

You might wanna add what tones gets higher

Like in the G scale, the F will be uppered to a Fiss

Ehm, sorry about the english, I've only studied this in swedish so I'm not aware of all the english terms

Anyway, here's a better list for you b)

C - 0 #
G - 1 # (F - Fiss)
D - 2 # (F - Fiss, C - Ciss)
A - 3 # (F - Fiss, C - Ciss, G - Giss)
E - 4 # (F - Fiss, C - Ciss, G - Giss, D - Diss)
H - 5 # (F - Fiss, C - Ciss, G - Giss, D - Diss, A - Aiss)
Fiss - 6 # (F - Fiss, C - Ciss, G - Giss, D - Diss, A - Aiss, E - F)

I cant believe I just wrote this with my phone o.O

Anyway, if you need anymore help, or if there's something you don't understand, drop me a PM and I'll gladly help you out
