I'm looking to learn a little bit of the violin. a friend's gonna teach me some of what he knows. what's a good beginner's violin to buy and where do i buy it?

Any old crappy violin from a local music store will do fine for you to learn.

It won't sound good, but it'll work.

If you actually get serious about playing, you'll be spending thousands of dollars for a quality instrument.
