Sennheisers are going for like £30 on the web, and there are some lesser known brands that work just as well.

shure sm57... you can get em pretty cheap off ***. may go a little over 50 (maybe 60-65), but it's one of the best mics and a live/recording standard in the music industry... they're worth it.
