I could be off on this but I believe you can grease the bridge and nut so the strings dont bind when you do dives. I believe graphite is a common grease for this but I might be wrong on that too. Assuming you mean a locking nut then you would just need to address the bridge. If its just locking tunes then I would do both.

I'm not familiar with this brand (Kramer), but all i do know is that cheap-mid range guitar that come with a floyd rose (is it a real floyd rose or a copy?) will always give you tuning problem due to their mechanic (bridge/tuning keys/neck rod)
This is true for most of all the brand in this price range.

Keeping this in mind, you could try what Axis told you, but you might want to upgrade that guitar if you really want to make a good use of a Floyd Rose.
If you are on a budget and still want to have fun with that type of sound effect (tremolo-ish), you could try a whammy pedal. It's different, but still do the job.

Get the guitar set up for a heavier gauge, 10's will hold better than the factory 9's.

If it's a budget Kramer it's usually a "licensed" flyod which means cheaper parts and there's almost no way around it. Just get good at tuning! The heavier gauge will help though. Not too many term systems hold tune well.

yeah i might try some of those ideas, thanks. Its a floyd rose II and the kramer was made in 88 when they were more popular. so maybe it needs a fix up because its old and stuff but if i cant get it to work well then ill get a new guitar.

sounds like it needs to be setup properly. I would personally use a higher gauge string for the floyd. A pack of 11's will hold up well. I would take it and have it looked at. At the music store I worked at, I had a ton of guitars with floyds come in that weren't setup correctly that were having close to the same issues. a nice setup and a thicker set of strings should do it. :)

dive and release, slaps back into position is something i have to do if i noticed it's not returning to position or tune.
