hello everyone, i'm ISO some advice on a pair of good, quality headphones. mostly just for listenin to music at the house, on my laptop. i guy i work with owns a pair of beats by dre, the studio version i think. lets just say that for that price, i'd expect a LOT more out of "high end" headphones. money isnt an issue, if anyone has any serious suggestions, i would really appreciate it!

i dont really have a price range in mind honestly, willing to drop a few hundred on something that really catches my ears. as for open or closed, probably closed.

i listen to a wide variety of stuff, but for the most part rock. i throw a little bit of country and hip hop in the mix from time to time, and its not unlike me to jam some dubstep after a few drinks haha

thats fine
dt770, ultrasone pro 780/580, m50, d1100, and mbr xb1000s are the only thing i can think of. all are overear and closed

theres a bit bigger selection on open hps, and a bunch of on ear stuff that u might like
spend some time on a headphone forum if u have the time. head-fi is the biggest one

I highly endorse Grado Labs.

They don't really make cheap headphones. They start around $80-$100. That's their idea of cheap. I've owned the SR80's which I thought where awesome for the money and upgraded to the SR325's. You can't be disappointed by these.
