I play electric and have a couple nice guitars already but ive been playing my dads acoustic a bit and I think id like to pick one up. My main issue is the size, his feels too large to play comfortably.
My price limit would probably be $500 or so and id like something slightly smaller than a normal acoustic (are 3/4 much smaller or is it just a bit?)

Ive played a Fender Telecoustic (thin body, acoustic electric) and it was pretty comfortable but it has been years since ive played it.

Any good recommendations?

Yamaha Fender Washburn - these 3 are in your price range, and absolutely awesome. I would suggest going anywhere with more than 20 acoustics and start testing them out - you'll eventually find one that has a nice body size, a thin and speedy neck, and a really nice sound.

You gotta get testing though - everyone prefers different things (unless Gibson Elitest oyeaaah)

Well I didnt get time to go today but hopefully I can tomorrow if I dont have a senior design meeting after class.
This semester is keeping me super busy!

But I also found out I have access to a circuit board mill which means I can make some effects pedals for my electric guitar hopefully soon.
If it works than I should be able to produce high quality pedals at a fraction of the cost of the ones on the market!

In my experience Yamaha makes really good guitars for the price.

I have a couple of incredible sounding ones that cost around $700 each. They sound better than most $2000 Martins or Taylors in my opinion.

blueridge is great for the money, seagull is also great. dont buy a fender, epiphone or any of that crap!

i play a blueridge BR-160 and have no complaints, bought it on '04.

edit: yamaha sucks too.
