So i was playing drums yesterday and my cymbal (Paiste Pst 3 18" Crash/Ride) just started sounding different... i had no clue what happened but i saw a little crack on the edge

looks like this, except this is just some image off the internet, i'm too lazy right now to have to take a picture and upload to computer and such.

i know the cymbal isn't really good to begin with and is only $75, but does anyone have suggestions on how to stop it or should i just continue using until i need a new cymbal because i've had this for a while

A machine shop and even some guitar repair shops can cut the crack out and buff the edges. Should look parabolic in the cut out.

Drill a hole to the end of the crack (to end pointing towards center-bell). It should stop, or at least considerably slow down the cracking process.

I've heard of drummers sanding out the cracks in their cymbals. Should work well to prevent further cracking.
