The amp powers on.
My bass, instrument and stereo cables, and cabinet are fine. I have troubleshot all of them out of the picture.
I've taken apart the pots and have cleaned each one thoroughly.
Amp will randomly work.
First started working when I slapped all of my strings at once, powered off then on again, did not work.
Second time it worked, it started buzzing out and when I changed the volume, it was fuzzy as if the pots were still dirty. The sound eventually stopped.
I've checked for loose wiring in the circuit boards, maybe I missed something?
Not a tube amp.

Any ideas?

Edit: It's a Crate B200XL.

When I think Fizzing bass sounds I think dying battery in the bass. If it's dying power/intermittent power issues with the amp, it could either be the preamp circut or a transformer/power supply issue. "Fizzing" is usually caused by some sort of power starvation. Something isn't getting/giving enough juice.
