Anyone know where you can get a partial capo for the upper 4 strings? I would love to try and play "Rylynn" by Andy McKee, but the problem is, I need a that partial capo. Using a regular capo on the upper strings wont work, it leaves marks. And if anyone is interested in just listening to the song here it is:

Planet Waves' capos work well as partial capo. I did rylynn myself last month too.

i have like a $10 capo and i do it without too much trouble... but then i use a cheap guitar so marks wouldnt bother me too much

maybe this is the obvious point to make but, you could just tune your guitar in a *clever way so that you dont need the partial capo... i think thats why alot of ppl do it anyway, rather than tune to drop D, i just capo the 5 higher strings at the 2nd fret etc...


theres probably diy type stuff to partical capo usually a regular capo tough i fyou dont feel the need to buy a new one

Just buy a spider capo, it's a capo where you can even just capo one string, each string has an individual mechanism

Wait, "leaves marks"? It is basically impossible for a capo to damage your guitar; it is designed to function like the human hand. The neck of a guitar can take a lot more pressure than a capo can put out.

Pretty much the only way a capo leaves marks is when noobs put them on backwards lol
