Just bought the newest Cubase 6.5 for $400.

Anyone here use Cubase? I would very much like an internet buddy to discuss audio engineering.

When you buy software it functions properly.

I've been running pirated Cubase 5 for years now and i has never performed the way I wanted.

For that kinda money - i'd rather a buy a guitar if i'm honest. Thats excessive - but, understandable on your side of the table - so gz :D You got a pretty mixer to go with it?

Nah I don't have the room for that lol

I'll just use the mixer in the software. But I do have a Midi Keyboard that I can use as a mixer as well.

And I've got so many guitars right now I don't need anymore lol

All mine are above $400 quality so I don't need any $400 guitar
But I can't live without a Audio editting software

No I bought my DAW as well man don't let em hate on you. You get the support, the updates and of course it functions properly if you buy it. I shelled out the cash for Logic 9 Pro (check the price tag on that). Sorry I don't anything about cubase but I bet your stoked with it.

Dude - i found an adapter yesterday at work, the front is a 3.5mm jack and the back of it is the same size as a guitar cable input. In theory, if I plug said adapter into my laptop, I should be able to play guitar and save it directly onto the PC as a wav / mp3 / wmv file yes?

If not - tell me what i'm missing :o

Nope, sorry man.
You need either a sound card, audio interface or a mic to record anything directly into your computer.

And it can't be just any sound card. It has to have a port for a guitar cable with it.
