Hey, I am not familiar at all with guitar amps outside of the normal plug in amps. I use a Line 6 30 watt Spyder, but ive got some money laying around and looking to buy a new head and cabinet i guess they call it.
I have no idea what I am looking for though. I am looking for just a generally good all around sounding amp. I'd like both items to be around 700 max, maybe a little higher. I play a lot of Paul Gilbert and Buckethead stuff as well as anything really.
I would also like the amp to come with the switch pedals.

All my knowledge is based off of a stack my buddy has in his attic. I've seen it a few times, but I don't know what the individual pieces are.

what do you guys think of this?

btw what is difference between slant and straight cabinet.

Ok last bit first :

There isn't a difference, so much as a purpose for the straight and slanted. You wouldn't built a stack with a slanted one, then straight, THEN the head would you?

It's designed to be Straight - Slant - Head, so it fits together like that.

Now - Amps. I personally use the Marshall AVT Series Cab which is pretty badass, and I have a shitty Marshall MG head (one of the first ones with built in shitty effects) and it's ok, but sound wise it's pretty generic and doesn't leave you many options - but the reverb is pretty awesome.

The cab you looking at is fine, just remember it's the TOP cab so don't put anything other than a head on the top. Marshall do a hench range of heads, you should see if you can get an AVT half stack.

Go to the Bay of E - and search this : 130689691084

Thats what you want, comes with a standard channel changer footpedal with reverb (i think)

Definately try out that Custom setup - I don't trust Custom unless it's a guitar lol.

First one ain't bad at all tbh, i'd be up for having that at $400 because thats like less than £300, good deal.
