Well, a lot of how you're using the pick decides tone more than the pick itself. So, I'm not too sure how being anal about that is a objective way to write a review, or how a piece of plastic can provide treble, but that's up for you to decide. As for the grip goes, I don't really have any sweat glands in my hands so this doesn't apply to me.
For a while, I went back and fourth between sharp picks and rounded, this is a really healthy medium. They also last forever, and are comfortable, and don't shoot out from my fingers in a sweaty glaze.
Buy a pack online for a couple bucks, it's honestly worth trying out.
The hardness of the pick matters quite alot to the sound, ofc how you use the pick matters too. Have you ever tested aluminium and some paper thing bendy plastic ones? The difference in sound between the two types of picks is huge. The guy reviewing the pick was comparing it to some other pick, this gave more trebly sound and more punch, as you would expect from harder material.
I dont really have a need for new picks. I rarely play guitar and usually play with fingers, also rarerily play bass with a pick and im happy with the current ones i have.
