I mean an excersize, song or whatever

just curious what troubles others have had and what they have done to remedy the situation

also, i have been using this trainear.com site, pretty neat stuff... i can recognize major 3rd and major 7th intervals so easily its not funny.. and perf 4th and 5ths too, and major 6ths are also very easy :p and minor 3rds lol.. i havnt really applied it much but it is very interesting how easy i went from like 30% scores to 80% in like 2-3 hours total of messing with it

/e i still have alot of trouble recognizing minor 7ths because the song choices it has for recognition i dont know very well, and sometimes with tritone and ocasionally octaves, and maj 2nd and minor 2nd when played at very high/low registers, but improving tho.. not sure if it has any real application to guitar playing but its interesting nonetheless

The two things I have problems with (been playing 5-6 months) are rhythm between strings and moving between frets.

The first, practice of course. It's not fun, but Riot by 3dg and Tears Don't Fall by bullet have helped me get a bit down.

moving between frets... Ducks and Super Ducks on Rocksmith.

IMo the most important thing to remember with guitar is :

If you put 10,000 hours of dedicated hard work in - you will master the instrument.

Puts practise nicely into perspective. I been playing 10+ years and I don't think i'm anywhere near 10k hours lol

this is probably true, but i feel like if i spend 10k hours playing 1 song i will always suck :P there must be a bit more to it than that :P

i been playing 10 months... but probably 2 months of that i didnt play, there was like 1 full month where i didnt play at all because of games and work etc, and 2x 2 week spans where i played like 2-3 minutes a day and called it quits

rest of it has been 15min-3 + hours a day, im pretty sure ill even out at like an hour a day before march because lately ive been playing ALOT, albeit while i watch tv or in between doing whatever
