Doing this out of curiousity.. Would really like to know what people on here listen to while gaming or just in general..
Also because my band is deciding on what genre to lean to, we used to be Hardcore/Post hardcore.. But we're thinking of transitioning to straight Indie, like Lydia type stuff.

Maybe try to experiment on the things you like, you don't have to be bound to genres or just one thing you know

At the moment Folk, Black Metal and Shoegaze probably. So triple 'other'.

I don't have one easily specified favorite genre. My top 10 for the last 6 months include Dream Theater, Skrillex, Nero, Dropkick Murphys, Guns N' Roses, Ayreon and Blind Guardian lol.

In general I'd probably have to say progressive/power rock/metal if my fav, but I like my dance / techno as well :S

My favorite genre is metal (melodeath/prog/power) to be honest, but I'm always listening to my iTunes on shuffle so it can vary a LOT.
