My birthday is next week and I'd like to purchase a guitar. My one and only influence is Buckethead.
I would like a Buckethead signature Les Paul, but it;s 4000 dollars. I'm looking for something that is bang for my buck.

I am a huge fan of Ibanez and ESP guitars although I'd be glad to take suggestions on other types. I just want an overall great guitar to play. My music style is rock/metal and then some softer songs.
what do you guys think? My budget is probably around 1000 dollars unless I can get a much cheaper guitar that will last me a long while...

it can be used and I'm located in Ontari, Canada. There's a local Long and McQuade near my house !

if i go with a guitar, will it be easy to add a killswitch?

NO FLOYD ROSES PLEASE.

Oh, and what's a decent acousitic guitar? around 100 bucks or so if thats possible.

btw: is the buckethead signature just a regular les paul studio with killswitches?

i think you could go very well with a used gibson sg/ lespaul standart for something like 700
wouldnt be wrong for you i think

ive payd for my jaguar 900 and wouldnt do it again.
the guitar itself is great but its alot money ive might gone well with a squier jazzmaster.

no floyd?! you can always lock it down and not use it, that takes out most of the good options for ibanez but few fixed. like a premiem series ibanez is under a grand and its silly pro next campared to a J series price. or get a custom made or an 8 string or buy parts off eebay and assemble at home, good quality wood mixes and buy buckethead pickups unstead of buy the same as everyone elts has and sounds the same and wood and pay way more for less in the end b/c of name. i dont know i find most les paul's so boring n unatiqute unless its moded, vint np with but fucking exp lol

what i meant was; get one that is ont a buckethead signature

a stock les paul is going to be 1/4 the cost and just about exactly the same

if u want a kill switch; well just use ur pickup selector accordingly and bam ur buckethead. more or less
