i have always been interested in recording/sampling/creating new sounds
i talked to a DJ in regards to what kind of music i wanted to produce and they recommended MIDI pads

so...

Between the MPK25 and the MPK25, I'd take the MPK25.

im mostly referring to whether or not the professional version is worth getting or if i should stick to the original version. the professional version is also a little bulkier

anyone else care to share some wisdom on this? its a pretty big purchase and decision and i want to make the right one

It's the same item. Whoever advertised "Professional" is merely describing it with an extra word. There is no PRO MPK25 or MPK25-P or whatever. There's only one MPK25.

the dimensions on the professional seem a little larger than the other one, which dumbfounded me a bit

send it back and get the better one.
