Right, so I really wanna play drums, but since I'll probably be moving to a not very large apartment with neighbours in all directions within the next year, I guess an acoustic set would be a bit too space requiring and loud. So I was thinking about a set of digital drums, but I don't know anything about those things. Does anyone have any experience with them? Can you maybe recommend a decent set for a beginner?

there are no cheap good electronic drumkits, u will need $1500 to get a decent kit that you can enjoy playing on

i bought a cheap e-drum kit a couple of years ago and its the worst deal i ever made, it almost made me quit playing drums bcuz it was so fucking boring xD

edit/ check out the yamaha dtx series and roland v-drum, dont buy anything below $1300 make sure u get white mesh heads

Or you could just buy a fairly cheap kit with midi out, and buy a good piece of drum software.
Hook it up to your computer, and you'll have sound close to what you hear on records.

thats what i did, i used the roland td-3 and addictive drums in cubase :) it couldnt save the shitty drumkit though sry, im just being honest to u guys so that u wont make my mistake

if its not comfortable to play u will not enjoy the kit more than a couple of hours

You can also get away with getting a basic kit like a td4 to start and upgrade to mesh heads to whichever you dislke the feeling of, normally people change the snare first as that has the biggest impact on the "feel" of the kit. Not everyone has $1,300+ at at a time to get equipment.
