i was thinking about purchasing the 'pop/rock' fake book from amazon, has anyone on this site used them? mainly planning to use it to practice

reading music ect and tabbing out songs for my violin. any insight on these books or others please let me know

I've used about 10 different Jazz Fake books. Can't see the rock ones being much different just different tunes. They're great for reading, repertoire building and creating your own transcriptions.

thanks alot have been googling for sheet music books and found a link to a "fake book" and had no idea what they were until i did further research xD
