Currently this is my main setup, I got super broke and ended up selling off ALL of my guitars right before this semester since I have to pay for books myself and needed a new laptop. ($800 in books alone!)

So unfortunately this is all the gear I have left.

Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier
Avatar Contemporary 2x12 cab loaded with Celestion Vintage 30's
Epiphone Limited Edition Custom Shop Les Paul Studio
Epiphone Limited Edition Custom Shop SG Jr. in TV Yellow which I dropped an EMG 81 into.

I miss my gibsons and my tele's but honestly with this amp I can get great sounds out of even mediocre guitars.

Well honestly the thing that colors your overall tone the most is your amp. I could play a squire affinity through this thing and could get some great tones out of.

here is some guitar rig math....

Awesome guitar + shitty amp = shitty tone
bad guitar + awesome amp (depending on how shitty the guitar is) = good tone
awesome guitar + awesome amp = awesome tone

although all this depends on if you can actually play your guitar, tone is in the fingers as well, bungled chords, bad leads, bad bends, and shitty palm mutes will make even the best rig sound like ass, oh and don't turn your mids down to zero for the "uberawesomemetaltone".
