hey guys, im just in a rut and outta songs to learn. im trying to play something with a lot of distortion, and im keeping it simple since im somewhat new to guitar. i'll give an example

Ac/DC songs ( i'm learning them now)
L7 -Pretend that we're dead
Lenny Kravits - Are you gunna go my way

That's all I've got right now, but im looking for some more songs that are very similiar to these styles. i would totally love it if you guys would share songs that you've enjoyed playing too, i want to open my horizon on guitar and learn a bit of everything.

AC/DC is greatm rock to play, but Airbourne is the same thing with SLIIIIIGHTLY more complicated riffs. Once again, very simple - well worthwhile.

Too Much Too Young Too Fast is the first one i learned - it's great.

Another good one is Cream - Sunshine Of Your Love

classic rock / hair metal is good for some easyish stuff that sounds good. Maybe Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue, Fallen Angel by Poison, Gypsy Road by Cinderalla... i dunno really your skill level so they may be way too easy for you

let's assume i hardly know the fretboard, because in reality i don't, lol

i honestly am learning the 5 extensions of the minor pentatonic now, for soloing and improv

but songwise, i don't know many full songs

-Stacy's mom
- Aurarian dance by nujabes
- a sloppy version of thunderstruck
- boston more than a feeling

learn something so its a push and not boring as a guitarist.....(ac dc), try out some jason becker, satch or vai'age, paul gilbert. even if you cant get it down now keep at it, if you do you'll be able to track some improvment and see where your weak point/techs are.

some easy songs of the groups

joe satriani- crush of love
- down down down

vai- for the love of god, easy song, lil tricky solo
- i would love to

paul gilbert - down to mexico, technical difficulty
most any MR. BIG- big love, rockin roll over

jason becker- angel eye's... he doesnt have to meny easy ones lol
