edit: That particualr bass always reminded me of the Washburn Taurus which was only around for a couple years because it was too good for the money. The Peavey Grind was next best imo in that price point.
Well, I didnt do it. I did a side by side comparison and the Squier has a million times more punch than the grind. I might think about getting some pups for the grind if its still in store when i look again.
