i have had my mex strat for nearly 4 years now and im going to say ive only played it total for maybe 30 hours.

im a leftie so its kind of my fault for getting a righty guitar but ill manage

my problem is getting hooked. ill get inspired to play a song then i figure out i cant play it at all

my strumming is bad and well everything is crap

whats a good way to learn and get hooked?

Grades 1-3 will definately give you the fundamentals to write your own stuff, or learn laods of other stuff.

pm me, i just started playing 2 months ago, and can probably help you with the first challenges youll have, if you have alot of free tiem to practice its easy to get hooked if you are determined

Dont start with songs that inspire you to play, start with easy songs. Its very difficult to play songs that are above your level. Gradually work your way and compile a list of songs that inspire you, so that when you get better on easy songs you can give them a try again.
