i broke a string a week ago and i still haven't been able to summon the courage to fix it

don't buy a cheap floating bridge, it's not worth the grey hairs while trying to retune it

Your ability to restring a floyd rose has nothing to do with how they function properly strung up....

this thing doesn't even stay in tune when fully strung. i assume it must be faulty in some way because seriously its kinda bad ._.

but the whole retuning process... is there some trick to it that i'm missing out of..?

yeah. You need to balance the floyd rose or it doesnt work properly. These systems are a major pain in the ass until you figure them out.

Read through that. My buddy rich owns that site, its EXTREMELY in depth on everything.

If you change string gauge. Its gonna suck. If you change string types. Its gonna suck. If you break a string. Its gonna suck. Took me several months to get the whole process down pat, and even then its still super duper annoying.
