Any reccomendations? I'm planning on learning how to play various random songs from movies/tv shows/ but I'll learn the basics first of course.

I'd prefer a keyboard that can play like an official piano and has all the keys.

But I'm not looking to pay too much.

Also I'm thinking of learning how to play online using youtube or something is it hard?

Personally I'd pick up like a midi keyboard and route it through my DAW, but I also do electronic music so I have no further suggestion on that.

You'd probably find some good stuff on youtube, but most importantly get to learning scales, chords, and music theory right away imo (google if you're not sure what they are)

Would any standard size Yamaha keyboard at like bestbuy work fine then? I kind of wanted a keyboard that sounds like a real piano.

i like my roommate's microkorg
also piano's relatively simple to think about intervals, so if you've learned theory on another instrument it's pretty easy to apply it to another instrument

I actually am looking for a keyboard that is completely similar to a Piano.

Any different reccomendations?

Define completely similar. It has semi weighted keys etc.

If you want a keyboard that has the identical feel to a piano is rather expensive. You'd be better off going on craigslist and getting an actual piano (Sometimes they are free) And just paying to get it tuned.

You want a velocity switched keyboard and a sustain pedal.

Oh it doesn't have to have an identical feel I just want it to have the standard 88 keys, pedals (maybe?), a little weighted. That's about it any recommendations that would fit this?

I use my Keystation 88es.

I may upgrade to a korg triton or oasys but those carry a much larger price tag than what i am willing to pay now.

I really like my keystation keys have a nice feel. Self powering via USB no special cords or sound cards needed.
