do you meditate to center yourself? do you play music to center yourself? which works better for you? i am interested.

for me it depends on the day. for me it is usually playing music, but at times playing even playing music can be a frustration. very curious.

I don't think the two can be compared that easily. Meditation often includes music, and vice versa. I'm sure some people would argue that music is meditation.

I think it depends for me too. Sometimes I'll play to music to relax and other times I'll just get stoned as fuck and chill on my front porch for an hour. ^_^

How come we don't know each other? xD It is all down to personal preference, but Personally I find Music to be the key to relaxation. I never got that whole "yoga" thang, the sit in a funny position and do nothing for a while - i'd much rather be high

the two are similar (yoga and being ripped). but in meditation you look for clarity in life (not escape from it as people think). for me playing for hours can give the desired effect, even more-so than meditation, but meditation can be achived quicker.

For me music is more effective. There are various types of meditations, I think. And, imo, they take time to be able to do. it's definitely not easy to meditate, whereas listening to music is effortless. Although, I think that meditation practices have more benefits than listening to music (clinically).

I find music to be a way to let off steam, or to communicate something that cannot be said with words, there are some feelings that can only be expressed through music. But it can also be used as a medium to help you relax and get ur shit straight.
