When you pluck the B string, just use your index finger to press down on the 1st fret (C) and then let it go in such a way where you're able to let the open B ring again.
Its hard to type in text... let me try differently.

When you "hammer on" a note, you want to create enough force with your fretting hand so you dont have to pick. The same principal applies to pulling off, you want to pull off in such a way where it lets the note ring again without having to pluck it.

means hit the open string, fret the first fret hard enough to make it audible, then pull your finger off hard enough to make it audible. do the second two steps without picking again
