Greatest punk band of the 21'st century. I am a huge fan. Check out some of their older shit too. It's fantastic.

I've never listened to much punk, but is Rise Against really considered punk music? From what I've heard on the radio they sound like an alternative rock band of sorts. Maybe it's their older stuff you're talking about? I haven't listened to much Rise Against but I know a few people that really like their old stuff and despise the newer albums.
