Hey all.

I've recently revisited my poor dusty guitar and have been playing in open C.

I was wondering if anyone else tampers with this tuning and, if so, would you point me in some directions for some tabs.

Currently all I have is some Dogie Maclean tabs and am enjoying them immensely. They are rigorous exercise, but playable for my low skill level.

Suggestions of bands and available tabs for this tuning would be awesome!

dunno about open C, open D tuning is really fun also (DAGDAD i think). paul brady's website has tabs on it. its all irish stuff.

Noted, but for now I wish to stick with open C.

i got you, but what is your C tuning? if it is just a step down from the classic D tuning, just capo to 2nd fret and pretend you are playing in C.

Open C is C G C G C E.

Also, I believe D A G D A D is an open G whereas open D would be D A D F# A D.

I've pretty much resorted to google. I was just hoping some people had some fun/interesting ideas about this tuning that I could play into ^.^
