okay i want to trigger my basedrum for some recordings
i got a external soundcard on my computer and needed to know if its not bad
for the card if i put the following trigger directly per 3.5mm line in into it.;

The trigger is acting as a piezo pickup in this case. It probably has an impedance mismatch going into your 3.5mm input which will most likely distort every once in a while. You may as well use your recorded/mic'd signal to trigger your sounds. Usually you need some type of trigger converter, a module. This takes the trigger signal, turns it into a midi signal and from there you can send the midi signal to your computer and do what you want with it.

its not a real trigger...
i just want to know if the 9volts can destroy my soundcard

Yes. Only an audio signal should be going into the audio in.

didnt destroyed :D
onlx made an selfbuild "pick-up"
