i recently downloaded a ravi shankar album with a violin (i think it's violin; it might be viola) accompaniment and it's awesome...but it still has a classical vibe, so i guess it's not really what you're talking about huh

They're pretty cool, i think they're kinda cool if used in moderation. If a band used it every song i'd get kinda tired of it tbh.

Hm, one of my friend plays one. But he's pretty talented, knows a couple instruments.


Has to be hard as shit, no frets. :S

you get used to the distances...there are particular hand positions that help you measure the relative spacing too...also: ears :D

i learned violin for a bit, but i haven't played in a few years

hmm Yeah.

The entire technique seems hard off the bat. I wouldn't know where to start to be honest Lol.

I think my friend said the first month was like about learning how to hold it correctly. ahaha, but im sure he was obviously exaggerating.


It's a beautiful instrument though, i cant deny that.
