I've been on the search for some good music, specifically acoustic. I love how calm and relaxing it is and it always seems to put me in a good mood. So I was wondering if any of you could point me in the direction of some good acoustic music?

Dude, if you want some really nice acoustic stuff, just play minor chords and play with them. I'll post a video later of what I mean. Take Em as your start. From there you can add G, D, Asus,, Dm, Am, C/F etc.

Some really good acoustic stuff is done by Zakk Wylde. If you are one to solicit pirate material, try and find Book Of Shadows. By a mile one of the best pieces of acoustic work I have ever come across.

Jimmy Page, it's really difficult but if you can play it, then wow

Or George Harrison (his Beatles and solo work), he was always the peaceful Beatle

Very good acoustic guitar as well as vocals.

Ray Lamontagne, Matt Costa -- A couple more of my favorites.

as previously suggested:

ry cooder paradise and lunch also his "buena vista social club" documentary is awesome

andy mckee is a personal hero of mine. he was my guitar teacher in 2000 for a short period of time. since then i watched him win state fingerpicking championship then on to place 3rd in international fingerpicking championship at winfield kansas. what a fucking badass!

lemme add some: youtube andy irvine and paul brady -epic irish duet, members of the band planxty and irish band that rules the 80's

nick drake -very soothing

david grisman quintet - download dawg '90 -guy is pure genius - mandolin, bass, guitar, percussion, flute

andrew bird -wtf where'd he learn to do that?
