Hey everyone. New to this area of the forums and thought this would fit here well.

Christmas is coming around and I'm trying to figure out somethings I might want. One of the major things is a new pair of headphones. I'm going to college in about 6 months and looking for a pair that is durable without suffering from sound. These headphones will be used regularly when walking to class, gym, and doing homework. Price depends really since it will be a Christmas gift most likely.

Pairs I was looking into were: Beats and different pairs of Shure. I found the Beats to be overpriced, not durable yadda yadda. And the Shures are nice headphones, but mostly for music production (if I'm not mistaken).

Thanks for any help,

-Ice

headphones or earbuds? Beyer DT770s are some of the best sounding headphones I've ever used, but you'd look like an idiot walking to class wearing them.

Did some research and came across these: http://www.head-fi.org/products/fischer-audio-fa-003/reviews

From what I've read they same to be a good fit for me, but wanted any second opinions on here.

I'd suggest Skullcandy's headphones. Great quality Stay on your head great, Same with earbud's they never fall out and the quality is amazing.

I'm not a fan of skullcandy. The designs are too much, and the quality sound (from my experience) hasn't been that great. I do agree with the earbud design though, I've had earbuds for quite awhile now and they still work fine.
