So, it's my birthday in a few days, and I've always wanted to learn how to play piano. Long story short, I'm gonna end up buying one

I was looking around and found this

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Casio+-+Portable+Keyboard+with+61+Piano-Style+Touch-Sensitive+Keys/9909877.p?skuId=9909877&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=9909877&ref=06&loc=01&id=1218193839912

Is this good for the price? What I mostly care about is USB compatibility. Obviously I'm not looking for any extremely fancy and high tech, just something to get by while I try to learn.

Also, are there any sort of PC programs or youtube guides that people would recommend me using? I was told about Synthesia, was wondering if there's anything else out there I should try/use? Simply looking for some suggestions on how to get started.

Yes, you'll regret not having weighted keys once you learn a few songs.

Taking both of your suggestions, thank you. I'll try to find one with weighted keys, then.

Also, if the keyboard/piano I'm buying has a USB/Midi output, does that mean I can use it for programs such as Fruity Loops or Garageband?

Yes. USB will be easy as it can connect directly to the computer. Midi is a little more difficult as you will need some sort of an interface between the computer->piano/keyboard
