also how the hell do you tune your guitar from standard to 1/2 step down
i have YT-150 guitar auto tuner

Tried checking youtube but i still dont get it

is this true ?

Best guide ever if you have a capo and a tuner:

1. Use your capo on your first fret.

2. Standard tune your guitar while the capo is on.

3. It is now 1/2 step down.

only the 3? Yes, if you are to strum the other strings and not fret them, the strings strummed will be marked "0" not "-"

how come when i try to play Lifehouse - All in doing this capo method to set my 1/2 step down
Whenever I up stroke it sounds high pitch?
Am I supposed to only upstroke the 3 strings same as down stroking? cuz ive been upstroking high E / B / G :O

also when they say Drop D tuning, Does that mean my Low E is a Standard D on a guitar tuner?

I'm not really sure what you mean by this. Could you explain?

To get Drop D you take standard tuning and tune the low E string down a whole step to D.

ok when i strum UP, i hit High E / b and it makes a DING sound but when i listen to youtube when they play Lifehouse All-in and they strum UP it sounds nicer
check the youtube Lifehouse - All in acoustic and their strumming sounds very deep and theres no DING sound aka high pitch

When you strum UP, do you only hit Bd/Db etc? and not touch eb Gb?

Whether you're strumming up or down, don't touch the top two strings, and make sure to mute the fifth string.
