Okay i bought a Cort m200 guitar the other day in silver finish.. i know nothing at all about playing ....i need the basics...

please any1 help + bought a 20 something watt peavey amp.

LOVE the sig. Dimebag's playing on Hell's Wrath is what inspired me to play guitar. I STRONGLY suggest getting a teacher. Call up a few music shops, or go in person, and tell them that you want to learn how to play METAL. I've had students that had their parents screw them by getting them lessons with some old guy teaching them country songs until they quit and heard of me from their friends and could finally start playing the stuff they WANTED to play from the start. Find the right teacher and the sky is the limit.

Im gonna do some guitar lessons on youtube. I used to be an instructor, so I will help you out I also used to be an instructor on ultimate guitar.com, and insaneguitar.net Joel Wanasek is a personal friend of mine ( he owns those sites)
