I'm a beginner-intermediate player and looking to pick up a nylon classical guitar for around $300. I'm wondering what the good classical brands are and what the best values are, and what brands to stay away from, I know there are some rip-offs out there. Thanks for any help.

congrats on the purchase - be careful though, you might fall in love. after I got my classical I took up flamenco and ended up selling my $2.5k electric, two steel-string acoustics, and my english became broken as everything I listened to originated in Spain

one of my former students had a cordoba. it was a beautiful, great playing and great sounding guitar. I don't think you can beat it for the money, unless you buy a yamaha cg101 or cg102 for 400 cheaper, but the quality isn't as nice as the cordoba. congrats, good choice.
