bought a guitar from a friend when i started a few months ago. i dont like it, doesnt fit me. so im selling it and getting a new or used guitar for about 300$ needs humbuckers, 24 fret... any suggestions? i was thinking ibanez, but if i cant find any ibanez i might go with esp

Ibanez is a pretty useful guitar for a great electric distortion sound. But with the right settings you can get a good clean sound too.

I play on a Schecter ( a predominantly metal/rock guitar) but its weird because I play blues mostly. I got the guitar when I was really into Acdc/maiden all that stuff but now Im more of a clapton/mayer kinda guy. I have a Randall amp which is what metalllica's Kirk Hammet uses but I still achieve a sound decently close to what I want for blues by messing with the settings.

Listen to people play each guitar on youtube to decide what you want. For the most part though, if you dont have a super picky or distinct sound you want, you can achieve it just by messing with the settings for a little while.

I like metal and hard rock. alternative is ok but i wouldnt want to base my guitar off of alternative xD

Oh one more thing i forgot, i dont like heavy guitars. i have a epiphone standard les paul and i really hate how heavy and glossy it is

TBH you need to go to a guitar shop and pick up some guitars. I personally like Heavy guitars, but if you specifically don't like it, you gotta go pick up some others.

Avoid Gibson as they are always heavy.

Fuck it - Get a Fender Telecaster. Good solid guitars, and if they can be used for Jazz or Slipknot, it's good enough for me lol

Lol, the only problem is that i need to stay at or right around 300 dollars. i looked at them and they are all 500$ :/

Hmmm......... Well, I suppose Ibanez/Schecter/LTD/Jackson should be your aim then.

Don't bother with the RR Jacksons, they are impossible to sit and play comfortably.

You could even look at BC Rich if you wanted a seriously mean looking guitar.

I have an esp ltd viper-50 guitar, and I just love it, price was 250 euros so its around 300 dollars ^^

Esp ltd guitars are really great if you want good guitar for less price.

With my viper, I can get really nice heavy sounds, and also a clean acoustic sound too, I'm using metalzone mt-2 pedal and Laney tf200 65w guitar combo.

Me and my buddy are going to a guitar center today to play some. Im gonna try to buy the guitar that i like based off feel, not look xD but if it has look too thats awesome
