In recent years I taught myself a little bit of guitar and wanted to pick it up again. I had been borrowing my brothers for the time period in which I used it (I mostly just taught myself little subepisodes from certain rock songs). I recently became interested in Spanish guitar and was looking for suggestions on what kind/brand of guitar I should look at. My budget is 300-500 dollars, depending on if the 200$ difference is a major factor in quality

basically i'm just looking for suggestions on guitars..

If you go to Mexico you can get an amazing hand-made classical guitar for super cheap. They have towns where everyone makes guitars. And it will probably be better than ones you would pay out the ass for in the US. Of course you'd have to go to Mexico...

Hahah thanks for the input. I do have to correct myself here... :

I'm playing Spanish guitar as a style not physically a Spanish guitar. I'm just looking for nice acoustic guitar brands for novices.

Well typically you would play the spanish style on a nylon string classical, as opposed to an acoustic. But to each his own o.O

i bought a blueridge br-160 and love it. they have lesser models that are correctly cured, solid woods (very important) and solid craftsmanshift. these guitars are more affordable because they are (skillfully) made in china. blueridge br-os is also a good affordable model but with laminate back and sides. ive had my br-160 for 3 years and it has settled great, sounds better than when i got it, would rather have it than a $1200 martin.

Either the Yamaha's or Rodriguez gutars in this price range. Yamaha CG 180-190 series or A-C models in Rodriguez

spend $500 and get a used Martin. Go for the fold right from the start and youll never look back.
