Are all the drums on seperate mixer tracks? Or is the whole drum sequence recorded together? If together, just add a 2.0:1 compressor on a gain of about 3dB and EQ 8-20KHz up by about 6dB and 140-240Hz up by about 4dB.

If they are all in seperate mixer tracks i can go into ALOT more detail, as you would be able to mix them all separately.

KICK

Kick needs more compression, stick a compressor on the kick with these specs.

Ratio: 2.4:1
Attack: 0.5ms
Release: 50ms
Gain: 3.7dB
Threshold: -10.2dB (or around 1/3 of the way into the peak, if you can see the peaks)

EQ the kick like this:

8000-(Max)Hz - raise by 2dB
1000-2200Hz - drop by 3dB
2200-4000Hz - raise by about 4dB
70-200Hz - raise by 5dB

SNARE

Okay, add some compression to the snare. Similar to the kick compression but play around with it until you get it right. Add some reverb to the snare like this:

wet - 10%
decay - 1.3secs
Low cut - 1800Hz
High cut - 12000Hz
Room Size - 80 (large hall)

EQing:

Raise 300-700Hz by about 3dB
Raise 8000+ Hz by about 5dB
Raise 1800-3000Hz by about 3dB

you wont get any nice studio sound without ambience recorded tracks unless u play metal where the drums doesnt need any air to breath in

try a multiband compressor and add some highmid freq, and some reverb for snaer

I usually start at the source if it doesn't sound right. It doesn't sound like there's a lot of crack from the snare itself. It sounds more like a doof. Try that first.
