11 years self taught. It takes a long time to get to whatever level I may be at, but most of all, it takes perseverance! When it gets hard, or tough, or seemingly-impossible, step back from whats difficult and relax.
If you spend 3 hours on a song and can't get it, stop! Give yourself the rest of the day to rest, take your mind off it, then the next day come back to it with a clear head. Not only will it help you finish off the song, but your fingers&mind will be a bit more in sync as you've left X hours to allow yourself to mull over the finger positions in your head.
The difficult part of this song isn't the solo, it's the triplets and making sure everythings tight. As you probably know, Kerry King is tight as a badgers arse in winter when it comes to his rhythm playing and thats the most difficult thing to replicate.
Wow that's a long time
I've been playing for a bit over a year, so ofc it will take a lot of time to play like you do
Sounds like a pretty good idea actually, I usually don't stop and it sometimes ends up with me making the same stupid mistake over and over again
Yeah I can imagine that the rythm part in this song is very hard, it sounds reaallly tough to get right. Still, I sure can't shred like you did in the solo
