At 1:32.

I'm a noob with gear, but I want to get more knowledge with it, and I was wondering if somebody could explain to me how to get a tone like this? I've gotten close to a tone like this by adding close to no bass, but then my harmonics don't pop out...whereas his are still flawless.

I've got a Vader 4x12 cab and a Bugera 333XL head.

Got close to it by having full presence, full treble, close to no bass, no mids, and mid gain or so.

What am I doing wrong? How do I get that crunchy, low-bass tone while still having clarity and harmonic response?

Whyyyyy would u have no mids!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
Idk how to get the tone, but I would never suggest anyone playing with mids at 0.
Since I mostly play acoustic, (and when I play it I'm usually not plugged in) I'm not an expert on amp settings. But I wouldn't wish 0 mids on my worst enemy o.O

Does your amp have a mid knob? If so, I like to have my distorted guitar at about 5-7. If you crank it up to 9/10, then you have an incredibly wide and IMO not so powerful sound, but if you shut it out completely then it sounds like you are playing behind a closed door.

You should try playing a song you like with no mids, with 5 mids, with 10 mids, then find your favourite setting from there.

I hate mids. It makes it sound like my sound is being pushed further down in depth, and is being clouded my air.

first of all kill switch uses good ass gear, so id work on that part as well.

i listened to clips off that amp, sounds really weak and crunchy idk what tahts all about for it looking so fancy. Get a mesa, shit will destory your world no matter what guitar you put on it.
