I been playin bass for about a year now and I want to try some slapping, I got the majority of the song down pretty well but I don't understand riff B on 543 and the 765, what is it asking?

(This note is actually Les playing an D, 10th fret, and bottoming out his tremelo; seeing as most of us don't have a tremelo on our bass you could just slide down from the 10 and let the note die, that's what I do and it sounds fine)
