the peg to put in the strong broke in half and half of it is stuck in the hole with the string, how can i remove the peg and get a new one?

Easiest way to get the peg out would be to take all of the strings off, reach into the sound hole and push the peg from the bottom. Should pop right out. You can buy new ones at music/guitar stores usually. I would buy a new set of pegs (and make sure they are the right size) before you remove the strings and the broken peg.

If it's really jammed in there, use a coin to push it out. My acoustic got stuck before in the same way, but thankfully I had recently mugged a hobo for a 2p coin which worked perfectly

Funny, I do the same thing. It's a lot easier on the fingers if u push them out with a quarter (:
