so yeah i found a used Stratocaster, mexican, @ the pawn shop, the guy sell it to me 400$ with a fender rigid case

its brand new the guy said

-theres still protective coat on it(you just peel it off)
-the frets are a bit dirty(like dirty finger stains)

looks like the guitar is stollen lol

anyhow, my friend checked it, he said it was good lookin

shall I take it?

NEVER buy from a pawn shop.go to musiciansfriend. get something with a warranty, or something u can at least return if it is faulty in anyway

you can probably get a mexi standard strat for cheaper. I've seen them go for $250 used on Craigslist

I wouldn't pay next to full price for something from the pawn shop. $300 tops if it's new looking but the thing might have issues with anything. It's well worth the extra $100 to get new with a warranty like Cycolown says.

Edit: Also, you're paying $100 more for the color you want too... not that bad of a deal.

i swear i checked everywhere and this is the cheapest one i found

no other pawn shops sell Strats

i checked for it brand new also, its 499$ + taxes

so im saving 100ish $ + i got a free case

But still no warranty

Get an American when you can though
I made the upgrade and there is a serious difference between both guitars.

they sell all day long @ 200-250 on craigslist bro. 400 is a bad deal
