Ok, so i have just started drumming, and just been messing around mostly.

But i think it's time to learn some songs.

This are 2 songs i'd really love to learn, because they mean alot to me :

When I'm gone - 3 doors down
Here without you - 3 doors down.

Are these songs do-able as a newly-started drummer? or are these too hard?

Also, any tips for these songs or for anything else?

Any info is appreciated!

Check out The Sounds and Paramore for fairly easy drumtracks. Might not be your favourite bands, but they have tight 4/4 songs with simple structures.

Get a teacher if you haven't already

learning something the wrong way....is wrong

If there is one thing I remember as a drummer, it's that covering other drummers is incredibly annoying.

Learn tec.!!! songs would not be that hard, make them you own with your own style.

also remember you dont need a drums to pratice,"sometimes" is better to pratice in the air with the sticks in your hand. (And pratice drums are very useful imo)

i've been drumming for 15 years.

honestly, do whatever you want.

every time you learn a song you add to your own style and capabilities.

if you want to play with a band, i suggest learning songs that are a similar style of music to your band.

if you just want to play for your own leisure, play whatever you like.

drums are for pros. B)
