There's a LOT more to his sound than amp settings. The biggest factor is the amp itself, and the effects he's running through the amp. If you don't have the same amp or an amp with a similar sound you aren't going to get as close as you want.

"amp setting" made for joe satriani



the JSX is made for him

the effects im not too sure about

Well then it's probably just an issue of you not playing like him. People tend to confuse tone & style. They're obviously linked to a degree, but most of a person sound comes from their own personal nuances, and stylistic choices in how they play. Concentrate on that more than amp settings.

That's just an issue of having enough compression and saturation from tubes.
