i got my les paul today and

there are 4 pots
one of which is for volume, the other 3 i know are for tone but can someone guide me how to use them?

i do remember seeing my friend play with them for different sounds.

les pauls have 2 pickups. there is a tone and volume for each. 2x2=4.

The tone pots basically just roll off treble.

i see
so there are 2 pots for vol and 2pots for tone for each pickup?

Top two knobs = volume
Bottom two knobs = Tone
Knobs at the rear of the guitar = Control of rear/bridge P/U
Knobs toward the front of the guitar = Neck P/U
