Some of you may have seen me lurking the musician's chat asking what kind of kit should I upgrade to, looking for advice on amps and guitars, etc. Well I've decided I'm going to get my dream kit, a 7 piece all North American maple beast. I figure, why pay some douche to build a kit for me when he's not going to get the idea in my mind as well as I could anyway? So here's my plan: I'm going to use existing hardware from my old Pearl Export(to save money) and install them on new, raw Keller maple shells. I'm going to have to figure out how to stain and lacquer as well, on top of drilling.

Need Diecast Snare throwoff(28$) and buttplate (5$)
Need an Airvent for each drum (1$< each)

That's my plan. I spent my last 5 FG for bold text as a testament of my will to do this. Wish me luck! I'll keep this thread updated as more work progresses.

if your trying to make something incredible, have you thought about the bearing edges etc?

i bet you it will come to more than $1000 if your actually trying to make a dream drum kit or if your just trying to make a "it will do" kit

The shells come with 45 bearing edges and pre drilled.
