I'm trying to find books on advanced music theory, and if possible applied to guitar. but all i can find is these basic music theory books that just have common information in them.
Do these exsist? I've found acouple interesting books on amazon but they are for keyboard, and the local guitar stores have nothin

These are difficult to find, most of the books that have been recommended to me are out-of-print music school textbooks. Get a copy of Aaron Copland's "What to Listen for in Music" to start, beyond that I haven't found many books and rely on others to learn more advanced theory.

Can you be more specific about the kind of theory that you want?

Are you looking at western classical music, or something else?

The Gordon Delemont Series is great. It's overall theory, no instrument as a principal but it's more than you'll ever need to know! I recomend the Modern Harmonic Techniques 1 & 2 and the Modern Arranging and Composing book. When your done in 5 years, shoot me an E-mail, I'll give a few other books to work on over the next decade.
