im trying to start to use it...
friend suggested to use it to record my guitar at home..

Quite frankly if you want any vst Plug-Ins that are good amp plug-ins you'll gonna need to pay some cash mate
I'm not that much into using my guitar with ableton, I'm more of a Electronic music producer, but if you want some realy quality go for Record.
And otherwise just get a mic and record your guitar into an ableton track or get a qinch cable
It's not that hard, Ableton provides enough tutorials imo !
